My radio and voice over career began in college at the University of Vermont in Burlington, VT at WRUV-FM – thanks to my old friend, Dave Parker. I took the opportunity to learn as much as possible. I did everything from reading news, to playing music, to recording public service announcements.

Once I started co-hosting a top-rated morning show in Burlington on WXXX-FM - thanks to another old friend, Tod Warner - it didn’t take long to land my first paid voice over job. It was for a local department store; and that led quickly to a television spot for the Girl Scouts; which was followed by an industrial video voice over project for IBM.

After 4 years of waking up early in Vermont, I packed up and headed to Kansas City to work for Gannett Top 40, KCPW-FM (Power 95). A short 10 months there, then Phoenix called – and I answered. In my 20 years in Phoenix, I’ve loved being "Dena Fox on the air", working for great radio stations like KOY-FM, KKFR-FM, KMJK-FM, KHOT-FM, KZON-FM, KOOL-FM, KMLE-FM – and am honored to have received a total of 6 national Music Director of the Year awards from top industry publications like Billboard Magazine.

My goal was actually to work behind the scenes in a radio station, but when I would get hired for one of those jobs, it was almost always followed by: “You sound great, you also need to be on the air”. Ok, so be it.

Along the way, I have voiced hundreds, maybe thousands, of radio and television commercials, as well as other projects. Now, with my own recording studio at home, I enjoy concentrating on just doing voice over work.

In between radio gigs, I’ve also worked with major and independent record companies in a marketing and consulting capacity. I’ve had the privilege to assist with both new and established artists’ projects, artists like Babyface, Michael Jackson, the Chi-Lites and many more. I’ve been awarded gold and platinum records for helping to establish and/or further the careers of stars like Paula Abdul, Michael Bolton, Depeche Mode, Peter Gabriel, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, LL Cool J, New Edition, Sting, TLC, Van Halen and many others.

Currently, I’m living and working in beautiful, sunny Scottsdale, Arizona.
